For Pune RTO, I had to make a statement about where I lived. We are currently in Mumbai in a rented apartment. Our permanent address outside the city, but many in Maharashtra. Most car dealers say you don`t have a fixed address, you have to pay almost 5k to 20k (which varies from company to company) of bribe figures to get a registration from Mumbai. Do I still have to do this registration operation??? Unfortunately, you need a registered agreement or other document (ration card, passport) recognized by the government in your name with the address you intend to register. >> For tenants Rental contract, police check and proof of address of the homeowner>> For the owners Index II, The phone bill, the electricity bill, the account extract (each) >> accompanying documents Aadhaar card, voter card, passport and I seem to have to pay about 4-5k to get registration to a few all and notaries. I am not able to get the agreement registered because the homeowners do not stay in India. Is there another document that can be used or another procedure to re-register cars? Pune, with its various educational institutions and a thriving IT sector, is a city that many migrants in other cities consider a home. But for those who visit the Regional Transportation Authority (RTO) to register newly purchased vehicles, there is an experience that may not make them feel as much at home. Vijendra Singh, an IT professional who moved from Patna to the city, bought a new quadricycle last month. While for most people, that would be a reason to rejoice, Singh encountered a stressful experience at the RTO, where he went to check in the vehicle. When I went to the RTO for the registration of my vehicle, they rejected my application because I did not have a lease registered in my name,” he said. It was what happened afterwards that Singh found it odd.
“It was surprising when a whole approached me and did my job with the same documents, calculating 2,500 more.” Singh is one of many residents of the city who, after moving here, have trouble finding valid documents for proof of address. On average, about 13,500 two-wheelers and 4,949 four-wheel drive arrive each month on the streets of the city. That means 450 new two-wheelers and 165 quadricycles a day. And more than 85 per cent of them are owned by students and professionals. While Pune RTO accepts documents such as passports, Aadhaar cards and driver`s licenses, they are only valid if they carry an address in the city.
